Temptation is one of the most common topics in the Bible. It’s mentioned over 100 times in the Old Testament and almost as many times in the New Testament. In general, the temptation is when a person is faced with an opportunity to do something they’re not supposed to do, but they want to because it’s tempting.
One of the most well-known temptations in the Bible is Jesus’ temptation by Satan in the desert. Satan tries to get Jesus to turn into a devil-like him, but Jesus resists. Another classic temptation is Eve’s in the Garden of Eden. Eve was tempted by the snake to eat the forbidden fruit. She did, and she and Adam were then banished from the Garden of Eden.
The two most common forms of temptation in the Bible are sexual temptation and financial temptation.
