Best Bible Verses For Broken Heart

A broken heart is a sorrowful feeling that can come from many reasons, but it has been said that this feeling comes from a type of love. The Bible talks about the issue of broken hearts and how they feel. There is an old proverb, “before you point your finger at someone else, remember that your three fingers are pointing back at you” this means that we should not judge others for their mistakes because we may be guilty of them as well.

According to the Bible, a broken heart is a reference to one’s sadness and grief. “My eyes have wasted away from being so sorrowful, I have grown old because of all my enemies,” (Psalm 73:6). The Bible often uses this term in reference to spiritual matters. “Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from hidden faults,” (Psalms 19:12). In many cases, this term is used in an appeal for forgiveness from others. For example, when David was told by Nathan that he would die without having repented for killing Uriah, David said, “I will confess before the Lord; let him forgive any guilt of mine! But if it seems evil in Your sight, then pardon me! ”(2 Samuel 12:13) This shows us how important repentance is to God. If we are not willing to repent, He cannot be our Savior or give us eternal life. We must first ask Him to cleanse us from all sin and then seek His forgiveness. It’s a two-way street.
